This is an invitation to become a paid member of the Middle Class Taxpayers Association™. MCTA works on policies, not candidates; is financed by contributions of ordinary taxpayers and responsible employers, not big corporations; and advocates for the public good, not special interests.
We offer thoughtful policy recommendations to decision makers, and educate voters about ballot measures, to advance sensible tax policies. The middle class taxpayer pays a higher percentage of income in taxes than the wealthy and corporations who paid 1/3 of the nation’s tax revenues in the 1950s, now pay less than 1/10th. Consequently, we fight for fair taxation because the middle class is carrying more than its share right now and is not getting enough in return.
Together, we can advance the interests of the middle class and those who aspire to the middle class. We ask you to commit your membership by contributing $5.00 a year or $50 for “lifetime supporter” status. All you have to do is click on the “donate” button. Or you can mail a check to: MCTA, P.O. Box 83675, San Diego, CA 92138.
Thanks for your time and we hope you choose to support us.
“This country will not be a good place for any of us to live in unless we make it a good place for all of us to live in.”
“As we peer into society’s future, we you and I, and our government must avoid the impulse to live only for today, plundering for our own ease and convenience the precious resources of tomorrow. We cannot mortgage the material assets of our grandchildren without risking the loss also of their political and spiritual heritage. We want democracy to survive for all generations to come, not to become the insolvent phantom of tomorrow.”
— Dwight D. Eisenhower
“Inequality of rights is created by a combination in one part of the community to exclude another part from its rights.”
— Thomas Paine
