ABOUT MTCA

The Middle Class Taxpayer

Middle Class Taxpayers Association TM was formed as a nonprofit 501c social welfare organization in 2011 to serve as a voice for the middle class on taxpayer issues.

“True advocates for the middle class should be focused on improving the lives of our residents, not just feathering the nests of large business organizations. Community leaders – elected and otherwise – need to step up and speak out. If we care about our families, our neighborhoods, and our city as a whole, we need to stop looking backward in anger and start looking forward with hope by investing in our community and the people who work and live here.”  Pat Zaharopoulos, Who Speaks for the Middle Class? UTSanDiego, August 11, 2011.

As a grassroots movement of taxpayers, we will strive to educate and act on public policy decisions that will strengthen the middle class.

“This country will not be a good place for any of us to live in unless we make it a good place for all of us to live in.”

–Theodore Roosevelt

“As we peer into society’s future, we you and I, and our government must avoid the impulse to live only for today, plundering for our own ease and convenience the precious resources of tomorrow. We cannot mortgage the material assets of our grandchildren without risking the loss also of their political and spiritual heritage. We want democracy to survive for all generations to come, not to become the insolvent phantom of tomorrow.”

— Dwight D. Eisenhower

“Inequality of rights is created by a combination in one part of the community to exclude another part from its rights.”

— Thomas Paine
